It was after the dreadful Tsunami that the Daughters of charity of southern province, made their first entrance in Trivandrum in 26th December 2004. As a response to the call of Christ who invites us to serve Christ in the poor, and at the request of our Arch Bishop most Rev. Soosai Pakiam, the province extended its mission in the Arch Diocese of Trivandrum at Chirayinkeezhu on August 18th 2009. The mission of the Mary rani bhavan is to do the pastoral and social service in collaboration with the parish priests. A lot of care is taken in counselling, faith formation and spreading of the devotion to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. Giving fishing net is far better than providing with fish every day. Getting into this realisation and with a desire of enlightening the darkened minds with the true knowledge of God, we have been helping the poor children in their education and now from the academic year 2020-21, one of us has joined in the parish school st . Veronicas LPS as one of its teacher.
