Vincent De Paul Rehabilitation Center Eluru started on 25th of April 1984 by Rt. Rev. John Mulagada the Bishop of Eluru.At the beginning only the physically handicapped children were admitted . Preference were given to children under 12yers old for the effective treatment. The duration of the stay depends on the length of time required for rehabilitation treatment. After treatment all those boys who have no one to take care sent to Missionaries of Charity Brothers,and girls were kept with us.

The children were taken to different hospitals for their operation and after the Physcio Therapy and other treatment were given here.On 6th August 2005 in convergence with Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan a Government project began. A special education for the Differently abled children.It was inaugurated by Mr. Lur Agarval the Collecter of Eluru. After 8 years the special school close down; because they were not able to study. It was in the year 2013.

At present Vincent De Paul Rehabilitation center running Residential care for the differently abled children. We have 27 children with us now. we take care of them and provide them with indoor- outdoor games and those who are able teach them handicraft work. We teach the children the importance of hygienic measures through which they fulfill their basic needs.and not depending on others. Our another activities are like Pastoral work , Family visit ,Women association (Legion of Mary) and helping the poor and needy.
